Lukla airport take off (Nepal). The airport is. FS2004 Aircrafts. Screenshot 2. And take a 'supply' plane from Lukla to Tumlingtar where youґll will pick up.
Tenzing-Hillary Airport (better known as Lukla Airport), the gateway to Mount Everest, comes to life in this stunning airport and scenery pack from Aerosoft. Lukla is known as being the first port of call for those attempting to scale this massive mountain.
During the autumn climbing season, aircraft (mostly Twin Otters), only have fifteen minutes to land and take off again as there are only four parking spaces, making it one of the busiest airports in the world. It is also the highest airport with scheduled airline flights in the world.
Flying into Lukla is dangerous and complex, even in perfect weather providing a challenge for even the most seasoned pilots. Pilots soon learn that anything you do at this altitude needs to be planned and considered. Landing on the uphill runway means you have to flare in a completely different way. Taking off from the very short runway may only be possible because the runway ends with a 3000 foot drop into the valley below, complete with waterfalls. Even taxiing is a complex process due to steep taxiways!
Take your FSX: Steam Edition skills to new heights with Lukla X!

Editorial
Having never had the pleasure to head over to Lukla myself, I thought the next best thing to do would be to fire up FSX and give it a go, right?
Well, this mod was made aware to me quite recently and I decided to finally make that virtual trip over to Nepal and see how close the mod would be to the real thing. Many hours of studying and assuring that the detail was there later, I was happy to head off into this new and improved Nepal skyline; but what did I make of the entire package?
Realism
The first thing that really got to me was how impressive the textures are for a free mod.
Most of the time these mods can be quite hard to get to look right just due to the sheer depth of information being transmitted into the simulation, but this has no problems in getting it right. It’s attentive to the scale and realism of the actual place and also does a particularly spectacular job of making it all work out in the right style.
Although I had never been, the extra addition of things like houses and hangers that actually with the region made a massive difference to the quality and enjoyment of the image being seen here. The attentiveness of the region is something that you can easily understand and enjoy being a part of, instead of just flying in Generic Country A this makes you feel far more at home.
Detail
Again, judging from the images I compared this against, this is more or less spot on with attention to detail. It looks magnificent and does a great job of putting the whole thing together.

Whilst the creator never actually put the scenery together, he’s compiled it all and done a great job of making sure that the world of Lukla can finally feel as authentic as possible.
Installation was a piece of cake, as was getting to grips with the terrain – with minimal problems and maximum exposure, this looks absolutely wonderful here.
I was hugely impressed with the work that the team here was capable of putting into the overall look and design and would be more than happy to use this in the future again.
If you are from the area or you want to explore it as I did, start here!
